Here we are! Out of Texas at last......and into Louisana...... 80 miles.....Silsbee, TX to Lake Charles, LA ......more of the same in TX, tall pines lots of green and FLAT terrain. Then, we crossed a river and wow....just like that, marshy swamps, gnats flying everywhere and water, water, water!
We were again treated to breezy cloudy weather.....it makes biking so much more comfortable, the rain drops were just starting to spinkle when we turned into our hotel parking lot for the evening, so glad we made it in before the rain...
I am loving our flat terrain, the roads just go straight for as far as the eye can see....this seems to be my strength. I am riding strong.
Again, snug in bed, looking forward to tomorrow.....
