Who new that Texas is such a big state! One of the striking things to me is how the landscape has changed over the last two weeks that we've been in Texas. West Texas with it's mountains, and arid desert like landscape, tumbleweed, cactus, and yucca trees. The the landscape so gently changed to ranches, cattle, sheep, alpaca's and goats roaming and grazing. Then the beauty of green rolling hills, lush fields, longhorns, bramas and wild flowers galore.
The ride today 70 miles from LaGrange to Navasota was one of my favorites. Gently rolling hills, just enough down to help you with the next "up" and wild flowers were just unbelievable. Blue bonnets, indian paint brush, wild mustard, butter cups, and more.....I'm sorry that I'm not a photographer and that I can't share more with you.......
We're here in Novosota for two nights, tomorrow is a rest day, looking forward to cleaning the bike, sleeping in, drinking coffee.....and just relaxing. The legs are tired.....
Snug in bed, looking forward to tomorrow.....
